
Senior Finance Assistant
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)
Contract: Maternity leave cover - an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.
Salary: up to £29,500 per annum.
Our finance team are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant, with particular responsibility for accounts receivable to join them in Glasgow to cover for maternity leave. If you consider yourself an Excel whizz and have experience in a similar role then this could be the role for you!
What you will be doing?
Working within our fantastic finance team, you be supporting the full Avidity Group of companies. You will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable function including raising sales invoices, chasing payment, allocating cash and much more!
- All aspects of our accounts receivable function
- Dealing with our client teams and supporting them with cash collection
- Mentoring and assisting the Finance Assistants in the team
- Weekly Cashbooks and preparing bank reconciliations
- Month end journals
- Raising bank payments
- Producing bi-monthly VAT returns for our Irish subsidiaries
- Assisting with the UK Group VAT return
- Assisting with year end and audit
Do you have what it takes?
Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, and you will be comfortable with debits and credits. Experience of Excel is an absolute must! You will also have the following:
- Great attention to detail and high accuracy
- Work well within a team environment and enjoy collaborating with others
- High level of communication skills
- NetSuite experience and knowledge is desired but not essential
